Studio5311 is a family-owned enterprise owned by Jerel and Karise Crew, who have a combined experience of 30 years in the photography business. 

Karise credits her grandfather for first introducing her to the camera at the age of 15 -- which, in turn, prompted her to work as a manager in the photo department at Walmart during high school, where she felt confined to 4 walls. She later went to school for television where she met a male photographer, that took photos of her, and she could not get comfortable, so she began looking for women photographers, she could not find one, so from their she went on to obtain an A Degree in Photography from the Art’s Institute of Philadelphia, where she mastered more advance techniques of the field.

 As a child, Jerel was always drawn to the tech world and anything camera related. In his teens, he started off dabbling with video cameras, then fell in love with photography. Self-taught, Jerel especially loved the reaction created by those he photographed. It was then, he knew he had the ability to bolster one’s self-esteem with the right click. 

Fast-forward to 2015, Jerel and Karise bonded while working at a photobooth gig together. And since then, they’ve been partners in both life and in business. Professionally trained by some of the best in the industry, they are known for taking emotionally provocative photos that capture the true energy of the moment. When not working, Jerel and Karise immerse themselves in their second passion: traveling.
